Gate

 

Gate volunteers help manage the arrival process by checking participants in, verifying IDs and tickets, confirming vehicle passes when applicable, and helping ensure that entry into the event is smooth, organized, and accurate. They are often the first point of contact for participants arriving on site, so they also help set a welcoming tone while keeping the flow of people and vehicles moving efficiently.

Greeters

 

Greeters welcome participants once they arrive on site and help create a warm, friendly, and inviting first impression of the event. They answer basic questions, help orient people to the space, share important information, and set the tone for the community experience by making sure folks feel informed, welcomed, and excited as they begin their Reso journey.

Doozers (aka DPW)

 

Doozers help build, maintain, and break down the essential infrastructure that keeps the event running. This can include setting up shared spaces, signage, shade structures, lighting, and other practical elements that support the community throughout the event. It’s a hands-on role for people who like making things happen, solving problems, and helping turn an empty space into a functional and welcoming event site.

Parking

 

Parking volunteers help direct incoming vehicles, guide participants to the appropriate parking areas, and keep traffic flow organized and efficient during arrival. Temple

Effigy volunteers help support the build, care, and setup of the event’s central effigy, one of the most iconic and symbolic art pieces of the gathering. This may include assisting with construction, installation, decoration, maintenance, and other hands-on tasks needed to bring the effigy to life on site. It’s a great role for volunteers who want to contribute directly to a major visual and communal centerpiece of the event.

Ranger volunteers help support the safety, well-being, and overall harmony of the event by serving as a calm, approachable resource for participants. Earth Guardians

 

Earth Guardians help protect the land and support the event’s commitment to Leave No Trace by educating participants, monitoring environmental impact, and encouraging responsible stewardship throughout the event. They serve as advocates for caring for the site, helping the community minimize waste, respect the land, and make choices that support a cleaner, more sustainable gathering. At sunset EG will also assure that there is lighting in/near the portos and check on the tp status.

Sanctuary

 

Sanctuary volunteers help support participants who may need a quiet, grounded space to rest, decompress, or emotionally regroup during the event.
