We are now firmly in the gravitational pull of September, and things are accelerating. Forms are opening. Deadlines are approaching. The event is no longer a distant blip on the horizon, it is barreling toward us with the enthusiasm of a golden retriever who just spotted a tennis ball.

Let's dive in, shall we? Relatively speaking, we have no choice.

🛸 If It Moves and It Shouldn't (But You Want It To Anyway)

Do you have a mutant vehicle? An art car? A glorified golf cart wearing a dinosaur costume? A motorized couch? A rolling disco ball that technically counts as a vehicle if you squint?

If your contraption has wheels and you'd like it to, you know, move during the event rather than sit there looking pretty, you need to fill out the driving application form. It's on the website. The same website. The one you should be checking with religious devotion by now.

Don't assume someone saw your creation at a regional burn three years ago and will vouch for you. Fill out the form. Make it official. Get your driving pass.

No pass, no driving. Your art car becomes art that happens to be a car. Stationary art. Still valid. Still loved. Just… parked.

⏰ Early Entry & Late Exodus: The Time-Bending Forms Are Here

For those of you who need a little extra time on either end of this temporal sandwich:

Early Entry forms are live. If you have a legitimate need to arrive before Thursday, September 17, fill one out. Early entry is September 16. That is the day. The singular early day. Do not show up September 15 and look confused.

Late Exodus applications are also live. Want to stay an extra day? Help with teardown? Soak in the last rays of post-burn glow without the panic of immediate departure? Apply. Leaving late without approval is not a thing. We will know. The Kansas sky sees all.

Both forms: website. You know the drill by now.

🎟️ Tickets: The Countdown Is Real

Tickets remain on sale through September 1.

After that, the door closes. The window slams shut. The ticket-shaped portal into Reso 2026 seals itself like a hatch on a spaceship, and you'll be outside looking in, wondering why you didn't click "purchase" when the universe gave you the chance.

• Adult tickets: $55 (still! for now!)

• Youth tickets: $25

• Vehicle passes: $10

September 1. Write it down. Tattoo it somewhere tasteful. Set fourteen reminders. Whatever it takes.

📡 A Relative Recap: What You May Have Missed

The newsletter has undergone several identity crises since our last transmission. Here's what we've been shouting about:

🏕️ Camping: Areas vs. Zones (This Will Be On The Test)

We published an entire guide and a color-coded cheat sheet. Here's the short version:

• Walk-In Camping: Park in the lot, carry your stuff. Available in both Quiet and Non-Quiet zones.

• Car Camping: Vehicle stays with you. Also available in both Quiet and Non-Quiet.

• Quiet Zone: No fuel generators, no amplified music. Solar is fine. Sanity is encouraged.

• Non-Quiet Zone: Amplified music is welcome. Bring earplugs if you're camping nearby.

• Theme Camping: Requires application, a published theme, and a contribution (art, interactivity, gifting). Two or more people.

• Family Camping: Family-friendly shared space. Nudity and adult activities inside private quarters only.

• Driving Passes: If you don't have one, unload, then park. Car doesn't move until the event ends. Period.

🎨 Art Grants: $1,500 and Growing

We want art. Physical art. Performance art. Spoken word. Sound installations. Things we can't categorize. Art grants start at $1,500 and go up as ticket sales increase. Materials only. Apply through the website.

🧊 Ice Ice Baby

Ice pre-orders: $3 per 7-pound bag. Because nothing says "I love you" like handing someone a cold bag of water in a Kansas field.

🙋 Volunteers: Four Hours, One Meal, Infinite Glory

Multiple departments. Multiple shifts. Four hours max. You get a meal. You get the satisfaction of knowing you helped build the thing. Sign up on the website.

🛠️ The "Show Up" Conversation

We got real for a moment. We talked about what it means to say "I'll be there" and then not be there. About leadership being action, not title. About carrying weight together or watching a few people buckle under it alone. If you missed that one, find it. Read it. Sit with it.

Don't wait for someone else to do the thing you want to see. Don't assume there's more time than there is. Time is relative, sure, but deadlines are not.
